For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by Scotland's history—not just the famous names and events, but the ordinary people whose stories have faded with time.

Writing historical fiction has given me the opportunity to explore those forgotten voices. Every chapter begins with research, whether that's walking ancient paths, standing in ruined churches, visiting castles, or following the coastline in search of the places where history unfolded. The landscapes themselves often become characters in the stories I tell.
